In my Minor, me and an interdisciplinary team of software-, mechanical-, and electrical engineers created a drink serving robot for the TU Science Centre museum, with an aim of entertaining and educating children about robotics.
The robot was designed to look friendly and sleek, while keeping the inner workings of the arm exposed, in service of the educational quality. This half year of working full-time on a team was a great learning experience for me, and I learned a lot of new techniques I would not have learned at the IDE faculty. While the robot was not without its (sometimes hilarious) flaws, it attracted a lot of interest from the children visitors.
